So often, we get paralyzed, overwhelmed, or make excuses for not taking action on the things we want to create because of a whole host of fears running around in our subconscious.

There is definitely some inner work do be done to uncover the root of these things, but here’s a simple, practical way to actually make things.

Think of the thing you want to make.
Think of what’s it made of.
Every day, make a little of what the thing’s made of.

For example:
You start with, “I want to write a book.”
A book is made up of a lot of words.
Now set aside the idea of writing a book, and every day, go write some words.

HI THERE.

I’m Shel Kim Rollison, a writer, singer-songwriter, and coach. I release music as Our Daughter. Welcome to my daily blog!

Austin Kleon once wrote, “If it’s not online, it doesn’t exist.” After decades of writing offline, having my thoughts and insights “not exist”, I was inspired by Seth Godin to decide once to commit to a daily blog, and here we are.

I write about my reflections, insights, and life learnings, including those around self-awareness, growth, creativity, and how to live a life true to ourselves.

However you came to be here, I hope you find something that’s helpful.
