We’re all creative, and we’re all meant to express that creativity through through the way we live and do things.

When we don’t express our creativity, which is directly related to the essence of who we are, it has negative effects that may go unnoticed at first, but eventually rise to the surface, and may even be a detriment to our physical health.

In a world filled with things to consume that are constantly trying to get our attention, we can often get disconnected from our inner urge and need to create and express. There’s nothing inherently wrong with consumption. It’s how we learn, get inspired, even how we survive when it comes to consuming food.

But, if all we do is consume, we get sick. We need to create as well.

How much are you consuming?

How much are you creating?

HI THERE.

I’m Shel Kim Rollison, a writer, singer-songwriter, and coach. I release music as Our Daughter. Welcome to my daily blog!

Austin Kleon once wrote, “If it’s not online, it doesn’t exist.” After decades of writing offline, having my thoughts and insights “not exist”, I was inspired by Seth Godin to decide once to commit to a daily blog, and here we are.

I write about my reflections, insights, and life learnings, including those around self-awareness, growth, creativity, and how to live a life true to ourselves.

However you came to be here, I hope you find something that’s helpful.
